The style of the center pendant is reminiscent of the silver jewelry excavated by Howard Carter, discoverer of King Tut's Tomb, in the Tell el-Balamun of Egypt. It is believed that this design dates back to around 300 B.C. The rich crimson beads adorning the earrings and intermingled with the necklace chain are etched glass lampwork beads by Vera Wieland. Necklace chain and all sterling silver components are handmade. Other beads are glass, dZi (prounced zee) and African. This necklace measures 20" long and the matching earrings measure 2" long.
